Another important change from 2025 is that now KYC documents will not be misused. Like PAN card, Aadhaar card, voter ID, driving license etc., these documents will now display only the last four digits. Aadhaar card will have to be updated once in 10 years

If you have not made any changes to your Aadhaar card in the last 10 years, then you should update it. Aadhaar Card Update has now become an essential document, which is used for government schemes, mobile SIM, hotel booking, train ticket booking and other places. According to UIDAI, now you have to update the Aadhaar card once every 10 years. Following this rule will help you avoid any trouble.

Deadline for updating Aadhaar card for free extended

If you have not yet updated any kind of demographic data (such as name, address, date of birth etc.) in your Aadhaar card, then now you can get it updated for free. You will not have to pay any fee for this. To avail this facility, you have to apply with necessary documents like PAN card, voter ID, driving license etc.

Date of Birth can be updated only once

You can get these information updated as many times as you want. So if you are thinking of changing your date of birth, then do it very carefully, because after this it will not be possible to change it.

Under the new rules, the government has also decided that now only a part of the information given in the Aadhaar card will be made public. Such as your Aadhaar card information, only the last four digits will be seen by institutions or companies, so that your security can be ensured. This change will come into effect from January 20, 2025 and this will reduce the misuse of Aadhaar card information.
